Gyalthang Dzong Hotel . Destination Guide

Gyalthang lies snugly in a wide valley, sheltered by soaring white-peaked mountains. Altitudes of 3,600m above sea level exaggerate the effects of seasons which mark the landscape with vivid character. Spring sees the hills and valleys carpeted with pink rhododendrons over verdant grazing pastures. Autumn molds summer hues into warmer tones of fiery gold, orange and rust, which lend warmth and an intimate ambience to the interiors of Gyalthang Dzong Hotel.

Its secure location is only a 15 minute walk from the town of Gyalthang and only 5 minutes away from Shangrila Airport by car, on the southeastern outskirts of the city.
